FOUNDER

Maya Tharoo

Maya Founder of Miracle Makers Foundation, Miracle Makers foundation is a vision of Maya. Maya is considered the youngest volunteer at Winnie Palmer hospital now at age of thirteen; She started at age of five. Maya visits the Neonatology Unit once a month or when requested by doctors or parents of the preemies. She provides hope and happiness for parents and sense of accomplishment for nurses and doctors when she makes her rounds. It was these visits that inspired Maya to create Miracle Makers Foundation; to broaden the scope of her cause from regional to the domestic arena. Maya is the youngest recipient of the “Community Builder Rising Star Award” of Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer in 2014.

Abdullah

Mr. Abdullah joined his father in the family business after graduating with a degree in International Marketing from Louisiana Tech. He assisted in the expansion of the business into various regional malls throughout the State of Florida. As his father’s business grew, he began to seek more challenges and decided to diversify, while still being involved in the marketing of Tharoo & Co.

Over the course of several years, Abdullah has gone on to develop his own business, PayKoncept Merchant Services LLC., and PayKoncept ATM Merchant LLC. His marketing acumen and his network has been able to assist him in the rapid growth of his company.  He is also an extremely civic-minded individual, serving on several boards and commissions for the City of Orlando and within his community.  He is an advocate for minorities and the less fortunate. He is on the Board of Directors for Hispanic Chamber of Metro Orlando, Board of Directors of the Arnold Palmer Foundation board, the Vice Chairman for City of Orlando Nomination board and an “Independent Hotel Owner” committee member for AAHOA.

Abdul Rehman

Mr. A. Rehman is well known in the watch and fine jewelry industries.  He has been in the business for over 30 years and has created such stores as Gold N’ Time at the Church Street Station Exchange, Bumby Fine Jewelers at Church Street Station and the very successful Tharoo & Co, a staple for over 10 years at Pointe Orlando on International Drive.

Born in Pakistan, one might call. A. Rehman an Internationalist, having lived and done business throughout the Middle East and Asia.  He moved to Europe at an early age and formed a profitable export business there, expanding it to include the Middle East and the United States, where he decided to base his operations. He has remained at that location for 10 years, with a growing clientele, both domestic and foreign.
